What is the situation regarding permits?
The legal situation differs from country to country. Please contact your respective market for the latest status.
How does it work?
With the reverse graffiti technique, we use just water, a template and a power washer. The template is placed on the pavement or street, and the power washer cleans the dirt out of the ground, revealing your message.
With the chalk/milk paint technique, we also use a template, but we apply an environmentally-friendly paint substance on to it, which, when the template is lifted away, creates the message.

How much does it cost?
As our solutions are custom-made depending on client requirements, and there is no minimum number of ads you have to order, we do not work with standard rate cards. Costs depend on the number of cities in which you want to place an ad, the number of ads per city, the size of your message, and the time it takes to execute them.

How many places do I need to place an ad for good visibility?
The general rule is: the closer you can get to your target audience, the less placements you need. If you’re targeting a wider audience, you should allow for a minimum of 25-50 placements in large cities, 20-35 in medium-size cities, and 15-20 in smaller cities.
What are the possibilities regarding size and shape?
In principle there are no limitations when it comes to size and shape. The maximum size of a stencil/template is approximately 1.40 by 1.40 metres (for handling purposes), but we can piece together as many stencils as required. We’re not limited to square formats, and can handle almost any format required.
The technique can also cater for very detailed images. As with any outdoor media, certain ‘rules’ apply when it comes to readability. Broadly speaking, these include creating an attractive message but keeping it simple, short and to the point. After all, consumers don’t have the time to take in anything lengthy. Bold typefaces work best, as do teasing messages and bigger illustrations.

How long will it stay visible?
Depending on the surface, how busy the street is, where it’s placed and the technique used, an ad will last at least 1½ weeks. It can however stay visible for several months.
Can I place my message anywhere?
In principle you can place your ads anywhere you want. However, there are a few conditions. Reverse graffiti will not work on every surface, and obviously the surface needs to be dirty enough. With this in mind, we always examine a requested location before we carry out an execution.
If you’d like to place your ad on a wall instead of a street or pavement, we would need the property owner’s permission first.
Chalk/milk paint solutions are not surface dependent, and can literally be placed in the exact location required. However, because of the nature of the technique, we would need the permission of the property owner or city council.
